Fred Ngo's Workshop

Fred Ngo has been teaching Lindy Hop for 13 years. In 1998, he founded Cat's Corner, the longest-running dance school in Canada solely dedicated to Lindy Hop and other swing dances. Since then, he has taught thousands of dancers the joy of Lindy Hop. Many of his former students have gone on to win titles in national and international competitions.

Saturday, October 15:

14:00 - 15:50: BLUES

In recent years, blues dancing has become popular with Lindyhoppers and social dancers worldwide. The key to this unique dance is a focus on improvisation and connection with your partner and the music.

In this course, we will learn connection and improvisation techniques and concepts such as simplicity, subtlety, clarity, creativity, intensity, listening, and musical interpretation. The connections among these concepts are critical to advanced social dancing and will greatly improve your Lindy Hop as well (and make it a lot more fun!).

Open to Level 2 and above.

16:10 - 18:00: LINDY HOP

In this class we will cover techniques to improve the connection and flow in your dancing. You'll discover the reason why Lindy Hoppers can dance with their eyes closed! All moves covered in this class will be socially leadable/followable.

While this is a Lindy Hop workshop, we will be building upon concepts that were previously discussed in the Blues workshop. To get the most out of this workshop, you should also register for the Blues workshop.

Open to Level 3 and above.

这节课的内容包括有效改善接触以及连贯性。通过这次课程你能了解到为什么跳摇摆舞的人能闭着眼睛跳舞！课中所有的动作适用于社交舞场合。

虽然这次课程是林迪舞课程，但我们还会提到上面布鲁斯课程中的一些内容。为了更好的了解这次课程的内容，我们强烈建议报名布鲁斯课程。
