FAQ What is kind of dance is it? On Wednesday we offer Balboa classees. It's a social partner dance, done to fast early jazz music. It was born in California in the 1940s, and still popular around the world! This is what it was like back then. And this is what we can see now. What if I have never danced before? That's the perfect position to start from! Why would you go to a dance class if you already knew how to dance? Our beginner classes are designed for people with no dance experience and start with all the basics. Do I need to bring my own partner? Swing is a social dance, which means you don't need your own partner--you will be dancing with everyone in class. However, for balance and more fun, we request that ladies bring a gentleman if possible. Do you require specific clothes/shoes? We recommend wearing comfortable shoes with smooth sole, preferably high heels for ladies. How much and when do I need to pay? We have a card system for all our classes: You can purchase cards before the class and use them for any of Swing Beijing classes (all locations). How long is the course? We have a four-class program to start with that covers the basic moves you would need to know to have fun on the dance floor. The classes will be on Dec 14, 21, 28 and Jan 4. 常见问题 摇摆舞是什么样的舞蹈？ 我们周三要开始举办Balboa课程。Balboa是一种双人舞蹈，一般使用的音乐是早期的欢快爵士乐。最初出现在美国1940年代的加州，现在仍盛行于世。通过此链接可以看到当时的跳舞场景，而这就是现在的风格。
没学过舞蹈怎么办？ 没有跳舞经验最好！已经会跳舞何必上课？我们的初级班内容专门为了刚接触此舞蹈的入门学者而设计，根本不需任何跳舞背景。
我必须有舞伴吗？ 摇摆舞是一种社交舞，所以你不必自备舞伴，我们会轮流换舞伴。不过，为了让男女数量平等，我们建议女生尽量找男生一起来！ 我必须要穿具体的服装或跳舞鞋吗？ 我们关于穿着建议男生穿平底皮鞋，女生穿高跟鞋。
上课的费用多少？什么时候付钱？ 我们采用上课卡的方法计费，适用于所有提供的课程： 课卡可以在任何一节课开始之前，适用于任何摇摆北京安排的课程。

Private Lessons No matter if you just started or have been dancing for a few years, it’s always very useful to take private lessons with a teacher. That way you get all the personal attention you can’t get in a group class. The teacher will work only with you (or your couple) on the topics you are most interested. The class is 60 min long; 300 RMB for one teacher, 400 RMB for a couple, plus studio charge (if any). If you are interested in arranging a private lesson, please contact the teacher directly. 私教课程 不管你是刚刚起步还是已经有多年舞蹈经验，上私教课都会对你大有帮助。你可以享受在团体课程中无法得到的个人关注。老师将只与你(或同你的舞伴)研究你最关心的主题。 私教课为60分钟，请一名老师授课的费用为300元人民币，两名老师(作为舞伴授课)为400元人民币，附加(如果有)场地租用费用。如果你有兴趣安排一节私教课，请与老师直接联系。 |
